The winner of the Wordgame series which started last Saturday will be going on a tour of Slovakia with Mondial, between August 9 and16.
The tour is packed with activities and optional excursions, with the first sightseeing on the way to the hotel in Poprad, taking in a former mining town.
Poprad is set picturesquely below the High Tatras mountains, and has a lovely historic square and pedestrianised area to explore.
The first optional tour goes to the Pieniny National Park, including a trip downriver on a log raft. Stopping at various places of interest on the way, there is also an optional dinner that evening in a typical mountainside restaurant.
The next day, participants will have the chance to cross into Poland for a visit to Zakopane, a famous mountain resort, and the next, Levoca in Slovakia, a World Heritage location.
The tour then transfers to the capital, Bratislava, with an optional full-day excursion the next day, taking in the numerous historic sites.
The third country on offer in this fabulous itinerary is Austria, with a full day optional excursion to Vienna, complete with the chance to ride on the famed Ferris Wheel at the Prater, and a visit to Schoenbrunn.
The winner will share a twin room (or pay a single supplement). The free package includes flights, hotel accommodation, airport transfers and the services of an experienced Mondial tour leader.
All taxes, service charges, optional excursions, drinks, entrance fees and gratuities are excluded.
The winner will also be given a Lm50 MIA shopping voucher to spend at the airport's tax free centre and a year's subscription in the Scrabble Club.
There was an error in the dates given last Saturday for the current series. The new series started on March 20, and ends on April 24. The replies need to be sent to The Times by April 30.
The last series ended on March 13 and replies were submitted by March 19. The six nine-letter words were: interleaf, eliminate, cityscape, geriatric, vindicate and whalebone.
Although the letters in the grid were correct, the solutions were not those to the previous week's wordgame.
The words that could be formed, under the word game rules, by the letters given on March 13 (apart from the nine-letter word) were aeon, alone, anew, bane, bean, beano, been, blown, bone, enable, hewn, hone, lane, lawn, lean, loan, lone, newel, noble, wane, wean, and when.
