75 schools in environmental campaign

Robin Robout is one of 18 activities in the fourth edition of Dinja Wahda, a campaign that BirdLife Malta runs in primary schools to raise awareness about environmental issues.

A total of 75 schools are so far taking part in this year's campaign.

BirdLife has campaigned for proper appreciation of robins in the wild since the early 1980s. This sustained effort has had the desired effect, and the trapping of robins, formerly very common among boys, is nowadays much reduced.
