Volunteers from among the staff at HSBC Bank Malta, Farsons Group, Mizzi Organisation and Gasan Group of Companies carried out refurbishing works throughout the day yesterday at a number of different children's homes, as part of the third annual Corporate Social Responsibility Day organised by the HSBC Cares for Children Fund.

The volunteers this year carried out decorating, maintenance, gardening, landscaping and cleaning work at Fra Diegu Home, in Hamrun, Dar Merhba Bik, in Balzan and at St Joseph Home and St Jeanne Antide Home, in Sta Venera.

At lunch time the volunteers gathered at St Joseph Home, in Sta Venera where they were visited by Acting President George Hyzler and by the Archbishop, Mgr Joseph Mercieca.
