MLP deputy leader Charles Mangion yesterday paid tribute to three Maltese patriots at monuments dedicated to them.

Ceremonies as part of the MLP's celebrations to mark the 25th anniversary of Freedom Day were held at Zebbug at the monument to Mikiel Anton Vassalli, who is considered to be the father of the Maltese language; at Blata l-Bajda commemorating politician, poet and former President Anton Buttigieg and in Floriana near the monument to Malta's national poet Dun Karm Psaila.
