ATTARD. RAYMOND, chairman IML Holding Group, deputy general manager Mediterranean Power Electric Co. Ltd, on March 13, suddenly at his home, aged 45, passed away to join the Risen Lord. He leaves to mourn his deep loss, his wife Catherine née Callus, his daughter Analise and fiancé Josef, his brother Joe and his wife Anna, his sister Doris and her husband Gaetano, all the staff at IML Holding Group, all the staff at Mediterranean Power Electric Company, cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2.45 p.m. for St Catherine parish church in Zurrieq, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m. followed by interment at St Leone Cemetery in Zurrieq. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.

ELLUL. On March 12, MARYROSE of Sliema, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved parents Edward and Catherine, her brother Joseph and his wife Louise, her sister Tanya and her husband Michele D'Amore, her fiancé Major Vincent Brigham, her nephews and nieces Fiorentina, Veronica, Andrea, Christopher and Francesca whom she loved dearly, her colleagues and students at Sir Adrian Dingli Junior Lyceum, Pembroke, numerous relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2 p.m. for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers be request but donations to St Claire's Monastery, St Julian's, will be appreciated. May God grant her eternal rest.

GATT. On March 14, at Casa Leone XIII, St Julians, EMILY, née Fiorini, widow of Rene, aged 94, passed peacefully away. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Eddie, her sisters Lily, Edwige, widow of Dr Carmelo Cachia, her in-laws, nephews and nieces. Mass praesente cadavere will be said today at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Casa Leone, St Julians, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Casa Leone will be greatly appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.

PORTELLI. On March 13, at St James Hospital, Sliema, Frank, aged 81, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Rosa née Attard, his son Henri and his wife Marisa, his daughters Simone and her loved ones Albert and Stefan, and Sharonne and her husband Mark Fenech, his dear grandchildren Ramon, Jean-Luc, Ylenia and Tamara, his brother Salvu and his wife Emilia, their son Manuel and his wife Loraine, and their children Mauro and Daniela, his brothers and sister in Australia, Vince, Mike, Victor, and Rose and their spouses and families, other relatives, in-laws and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said today at St Theresa Sanctuary, Birkirkara, at 2 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Dar tal-Providenza will be appreciated. Thank you Lord for sharing with us the great gift of his art, which lives on as a tribute to him and to your grandeur, and grant him eternal peace.

Cardholders Rewarded

Over 10,000 Cashlink cardholders have benefited from Bank of Valletta's Cashlink benefits collection scheme since its launch in November 2003.

Investor Relations Programme

Eden Finance plc, a fully owned subsidiary of the Eden Leisure Group, has launched its bond investor relations programme.

The aim of the programme is to increase communication between the group and its investors and to offer them some entertainment and hospitality, thus relating benefits back in loyalty to those who have put their money in the company.

Recently, the group's managing director and senior management held meetings with financial institutions and stock brokers to explain the company's financial and strategic position in the market, so as to allow them to accurately advise their clients.

Discussion On Spam

The sixth public discussion forum organised by MITTS Ltd in its series to raise awareness on current ICT issues will be held at the Chamber of Commerce, Valletta, tomorrow at 5.45 p.m.

The forum will discuss A Riotous Assembly: Spam, Spam, Spam... and perhaps Mail!

The ICT forum will delve into various aspects of spam including the effect on the government's e-mail services, on Malta's internet connectivity and fighting the spam war.

French Film

The Alliance Francaise de Malte is screening the French film Beaumarchais with English sub-titles at Casa Sir Luigi Preziosi, 108 St Thomas Street, Floriana, on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Home Delivery

Pizza Hut has launched a new system to make home delivery orders easier to place.

Customers need only call one telephone number for any of the delivery areas. They are led through the system and requested to choose their delivery zone.

Safety Course

A group of MCAST employees attended a three-day course focusing on fire-fighting, first aid and occupational health and safety.

The employees were given lecture notes and practical sessions and were also presented with certificates of achievement.

Zejtun Seminar

Zejtun local council will be holding a seminar for residents in the Gwiedi area by architect Mireille Fsadni on how residents can protect historical heritage. The seminar will be held at the council premises tomorrow at 6.30 pm.

Lenten Meetings

A series of lenten meetings for youths will be held at Sta Venera parish centre from March 22 - 26 at 7.30 p.m.

The meetings will include praying, spiritual reflection and singing.

All youths are invited.

HR Foundation Appoints CEO

John Camilleri has been appointed chief executive officer of the Foundation for Human Resources Development.

The foundation was set up as a non-governmental organisation in 1991 and aims to raise the profile of human resource management practices as well as the development of the human resource profession in Malta.

Mr Camilleri is an experienced HR practitioner having held the position of employee relations manager with one of Malta's leading manufacturing firms for the past 12 years.

In this position, Mr Camilleri was responsible for the planning and implementation of many different HR initiatives.

Station Anniversary

Radio station X-fm is one year old and to celebrate the station it has teamed up with Kinnie and TGI Friday's in Sliema for a party.

The entire X-fm team will be at TGI Friday's on Thursday night for the celebrations, which will include performances from some of Malta's top bands, Scream Daisy, Fabrizio Faniello, Crosswalk, Ivan Filletti, Kristina Casolani and Bitterside.

X-fm broadcasts 24 hours a day from its studio complex in St Julians.
