The 19th Malta Marathon and Half Marathon once again brought more success for St Patrick's AC.

Carmen Hili won the women's marathon and achieved the commendable feat of winning two marathons within the space of a few months after her success in the Challenge Marathon late last year.

In the Half Marathon, second-placed Jonathan Balzan registered a new personal best of 1:09.15, pushing overall winner Charles Cilia all the way.

St Patrick's were the top team in the Half Marathon. In the marathon the club claimed first and second places with six of their athletes among the top 20.

These include Martin Agius, Joe Pace, Godwin Cutajar, Manuel Spiteri, Carmelo Caruana and Konrad Ciappara, an ever-present in all editions of the Malta Marathon so far.

Now, after some days of rest, many athletes start focusing on the popular Dingli 10 race, this year sponsored by Powerade, on Friday. Further information may be obtained by phoning 21-410648 or 7970-8650.
