Poet Adrian Grima has been invited to take part in the international poetry festival Voci del Mediterraneo at the Centro Culturale Le Ciminiere in Catania on March 19 and 20.

Twenty poets from various parts of the Mediterranean will read their works in their native language and in Italian.

The two-day festival will also include performances of ethnic music and song. The festival is being organised by the province of Catania and is part of the Etna Fest 2004 series of cultural events.

Later on this year, Dr Grima will be reading his poetry at the Literair Paspoort festival in The Hague.

Dr Grima's poems will be translated into Dutch and published in both Maltese and Dutch.

Dr Grima is a lecturer in the Department of Maltese at the University of Malta.
