DEI CONTI STAGNO-NAVARRA. On March 10, at St Luke's Hospital, ALFRED, passed away suddenly, aged 55, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his deep and sudden loss his wife Rosemarie née Dalli and his loving daughter Chantal, his brothers and sisters Adelaide, widow of Vincent Zerafa, Frank and his wife Maria, Vivienne Montgomerry of Australia, Maryanne, widow of Joseph Busuttil, Josephine, wife of Vincent Arena of UK, George and his wife Madeline, Maria Dolores and her husband Robert Jackson of UK, Albert and Alexander of Australia, his mother-in-law Theresa Dalli, his in-laws Reno Dalli and his wife Maria, Yvonne and her husband John Pirotta, Mariella and her husband Robert Gatt, Martina and her husband Grogan, his very close friends Godwin Belli and Martin Vella, nephews, nieces, other relatives and innumerable friends. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2 p.m. for Balzan parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Physically Handicapped Rehabilitation Centre, Paola, will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

MONTANARO. On March 10, at St Vincent de Paul, Chev. ANTHONY MONTANARO, of Sliema, aged 82, Knight of Magistrial Grace - SMOM and former editor of Il-Berqa and The Sunday Times, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Frances, his devoted children Josette and her husband Walter Casolani, Godwin and his wife Patricia, Alex and his wife Marianne, Alan and his wife Gaby, his daughter-in-law Rosette, widow of his son Gerald, his grandchildren Ian, Dianne, John, Veronica, Jean Marc, Lee Ann, Michael, Steve, Malcolm, Anthony and Rebecca, his dear brother William, his in-laws Sr Patricia, Dunstan and Nathalie, Norbert and Angela Crockford, Alfred Pisani, husband of the late Audrey, his nephews, nieces, relatives and friends, the directors and staff of Allied Newspapers Ltd and The Strickland Foundation. Mass praesente cadavere will be said tomorrow, Friday, at 9 a.m. at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Caritas will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord grant him eternal rest.

ZAMMIT. On March 9, at St Luke's Hospital, CARMELINA (Lina) née Caruana, widow of John, aged 86, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Josette and her husband Vince Abela, her son John and daughter-in-law Marika, her grandchildren Kevin, Daphne, Kenneth and Jenny, her brother Joseph and his wife Maria, her sisters Annie St John and Mary Psaila, her sister-in-law Violet, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2 p.m. for Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery (entrance from top gate).

Recruitment Activity

The Westin Dragonara Resort will be holding a recruitment activity on Monday and Tuesday between 3 and 7 p.m.

The resort aims to identify candidates who possess the right attitude towards work and willingness to broaden their experience within the hospitality industry. Although this activity targets university and Institute for Tourism Studies students, applications are also being invited from others.

Dance Tutor

Karen Berry, an authorised tutor of the Royal Academy of Dance, will be in Malta from April 4 - 6 to give classes to ballet students and conduct courses for teachers of classical ballet.

Classes for children aged seven years upwards will be held on April 4 and those for vocational graded students on April 6.

The classes are open to all students of classical ballet.

The courses for teachers, entitled Look, See, Observe and Reflect, will be held on April 5 and are aimed at increasing teachers' observation skills in the dance studio.

Distribution Agreement

Mangion & Lightfoot Limited, a design studio specialising in high quality solutions for print, advertising and information design, has signed an agreement to distribute and support Modulex in Malta.

The distribution agreement was arranged through the Italian Modulex partner, Cicrespi SpA, whose head offices are in Milan.

Modulex is an international authority in the design and management of information systems and signage.

Forum On Spam

The sixth public discussion forum organised by MITTS Ltd in its series aimed at raising awareness on current ICT issues will be held at the Chamber of Commerce, Valletta on Tuesday at 5.45 p.m.

The forum will discuss A Riotous Assembly: Spam, Spam, Spam .... and perhaps Mail!

The ICT forum will delve into various aspects of spam including the effect on government's e-mail services, on Malta's internet connectivity and fighting the spam war.

Passion Plays Discussion

Theatre Traffic is focusing this month's discussion on passion plays. The discussion, in Maltese, will take place at the Manoel Theatre coffee shop today at 7.30 p.m.

A panel of leading members of local theatre companies that specialise in passion plays will participate in the discussions headed by Vicki Ann Cremona, coordinator and lecturer in the Malta University Theatre Studies Programme and director of Theatre Traffic.

The next Theatre Traffic discussion will be held on March 28 at the coffee shop.

Symphonic Concert

St Lawrence Band Club is presenting the sixth annual symphonic concert at the Maritime Museum, in Vittoriosa on March 18 at 7.30 p.m.

The band will play works by Von Suppe, Tchaikovsky, Offenbach, Mascagni, Ernst, Walters, Simeone, Loewe and Paul Schembri. It will be directed by Mro Schembri
