GWU in dispute with One Productions

The General Workers' Union yesterday registered an industrial dispute with One Productions Ltd after it said the management failed to reply to its requests to refrain from taking disciplinary procedures that breached the collective agreement.

In a letter to Etienne St John, group head corporate services of One Productions, the secretary of the services and media section of the GWU, Karmenu Vella, said that actions being taken by the company against a union member breached the collective agreement.

Such disciplinary action was unjust and was causing considerable damages, the union insisted.

The union also gave notice of industrial action.
