The Gozo diocese on Tuesday celebrated Bishop's Day and the birthday of Gozo bishop Nikol Cauchi - who has just submitted his resignation - with concelebrated Mass at the Good Shepherd church, in Victoria.

Mgr Cauchi said he did not think he would be bishop for long. He hoped that his successor would do his utmost to strengthen the good there was.

He also called on his priests and collaborators to cooperate with his successor as they had cooperated with him.
