A Zabbar man was yesterday put on probation for two years for assaulting and slightly injuring a police constable during last month's carnival celebrations.

Joseph Borg, 30, pleaded guilty before Magistrate Giovanni Grixti to threatening, insulting, assaulting and injuring PC Paul Sultana in Valletta on February 21.
