The afforestation and public gardens section in the Gozo Ministry is about to start planting flowers, shrubs and trees in roundabouts and in public gardens as well as other areas.

The ministry will be using indigenous plants for the embellishment project. The section recently bought and planted flowers that blossom for six months. It is also planning to plant turf in various areas.

The trees and shrubs were grown in two greenhouses in Gozo, one of which was built for this purpose last year, producing about 25,000 seasonal plants.
