Maltese chef to judge Russian championships

The Russian Interregional Culinary Association and the National Trade Association have invited Joseph Vella, National Chefs team manager, to judge the Russian Open Chefs Championships, which forms part of the International Salon Culinaire Restaurant World 2004.

Mr Vella will also be giving cooking demonstrations at the Elena Soutchkova Educational Centre, a culinary centre for young Russian trainees.

This is Mr Vella's second international culinary judging experience, after he judged in Glasgow, Scotland last year at the World Culinary Grand Prix.

He is a member of the Malta Cookery and Food Association.
