Representatives of the Malta Gay Rights Movement steering committee have met with President Guido de Marco at the Palace in Valletta.

The main focus of the meeting was the discrimination that still exists, both legislatively and socially, against thousands of homosexual citizens, MGRM said.

The MGRM's representatives presented the President with a copy of the movement's publication, 'Sexual Orientation Discrimination in Malta', carrying a report on discrimination, harassment and violence against the gay and bisexual community.

The MGRM's delegation was made up of coordinator Sandro Mangion, international secretary Christian Attard and administrator Ruth Baldacchino.
