Gas prices 'a new burden'

The Labour Party's spokesman on infrastructural services, Joe Mizzi, has objected to the increase in the price of gas, saying it would put new burdens on families and industry.

Gas was not a luxury, he said, but a necessity.

While Enemalta had raised the price of gas, it had failed to make any commitment to improve its service to clients, he added.
