A major horse trotting competition between Malta and Sweden is to be held at the Marsa race track on Friday.
During the event, six of Sweden's top trotting drivers, Stig H. Johansson, Torbjörn Larsson, Åke Svanstedt, Claes Svensson, Björn Goop and Fredrik Larsson, will be competing against Maltese riders.
Friday's competition will be transmitted live by satellite link to ATG betting outlets in Sweden, while Swedish Television Channel TV4 will be showing a three-minute clip from the competition during the sports programme Tips lördag on Saturday at 3 p.m.
The event is being organised by the Swedish horse racing magazine Trav och Galoppronden together with ATG, Krafft, Speedy Resor, the Malta Tourism Authority, Air Malta and On Track Racing. The organisers are hoping that the competition will become an annual event.
