A Valletta woman has been jailed for five months for shoplifting.

Carmela Spiteri, 37, admitted to stealing over Lm50 worth of items from Marks & Spencer in Valletta on and before January 21. She also admitted to committing the crime while on conditional discharge.

Inspector Anglu Caruana prosecuted.
