Call for MLP candidates

The Labour Party said prospective candidates for the European Parliament elections are to submit their nominations between today and next Monday.

The call for new candidates comes after last Wednesday's extraordinary general conference of the MLP approved a motion to add four more candidates to the four already selected.

The new candidates will be elected by delegates in a secret vote during a general conference on February 27, after the nominees are screened by the Discipline and Vigilance Board and approved by the National Executive.
