The fact that the management of Maltapost was once again to be passed on to the Maltese confirmed how bad the government's decision had been to entrust it to Transend of New Zealand, according to Labour's spokesman for Infrastructural Services, Joe Mizzi.

Mr Mizzi said the Transend management had reduced efficiency while raising rates for the consumer.

The latest developments confirmed how right the Labour Party had been to criticise the agreement between the government and Transend.
