Man held over smuggled cigarettes

A 45-year-old man from Qrendi is helping the police in their investigations following the discovery of 50 cartons of smuggled cigarettes, the police said. The cigarettes were found when the police economic crimes square raided a shop in Valletta, yesterday afternoon.
