A man who had Lm500 stolen from his car last Sunday ended up in court himself after he reported to the police he had been held up.

Inspector Jeffrey Cilia accused Mario Bartolo of making a false report and with testifying falsely under oath before the inquiring magistrate.

Dr Noel Camilleri appeared for the accused, who was granted bail on a personal guarantee of Lm500.
