Maltapost has done it again... A letter, including a cheque, addressed to a bank in the UK, arrived so late that we had to pay a penalty of two per cent on a credit card transaction. Thank you, Maltapost!

Maltapost is not only proving inconvenient and inefficient but also financially detrimental to the taxpayer.

A letter to the UK hardly ever took more than five days to arrive in the olden days. There was a time when a letter addressed to the UK sometimes arrived in a shorter time than one addressed to Malta, depending on the flight the mail was put on!

We deserve better.
