During a recent visit to Algeria I was asked by a friend, Mlle Boutaba, to try and trace any relatives she may have in Malta. Her maternal grandparents were both born in Malta and their names were Victor Vella and Marie Josephine Gauci. They were married in Algiers and they are now deceased.
