The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Anton Tabone, will be participating at the 16th meeting of the president of the European parliament with presidents of the parliaments of the countries participating in the enlargement process.

The meeting, which will be held in Budapest today, will open with an address by Katalin Szili, speaker of the Hungarian national assembly.

The first working session will debate The European Union on the eve of Enlargement and will be introduced by Pat Cox, president of the European parliament.

The second working session, with the participation of the presidents of the five parliaments of the western Balkans, will discuss Parliamentary Cooperation between the Enlarged Union and the countries of the Western Balkans.

This session will be introduced by Doris Pack, chair of the European parliament delegation for relations with South East Europe.
