Labour leader Alfred Sant said yesterday that in the light of the employment crisis, it was crucial that serious work be taken in hand to create jobs, with the collaboration of unions and employers.

In a meeting with the Malta Employers' Association, Dr Sant said the party believed the country needed leadership that would be able to provide a sense of direction.
