The History of Art Programme within the Faculty of Arts, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura Italiana, has announced the visit to the University of Malta of Professor Pier Paolo Pancotto from the Università degli Studi La Sapienza of Rome.
Professor Pancotto, who will be lecturing on Modern and Contemporary Italian Art, besides his academic association with several Italian universities, is adviser to the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna of Rome and a leading art critic and historian.
Professor Pancotto will lecture from February 11-13 at the University and at the Italian Cultural Institute in Valletta.
The lectures are primarily intended for students in the History of Art Programme but other students and members of the academic staff and interested members of the general public are cordially invited.
The visit is being sponsored by the Italian Embassy.
