UCIM Ltd, importers of Fiat cars, have launched the new Fiat Panda, the Fiat Auto Car of the Year 2004.

The latest addition to the Fiat family offers a compact exterior, yet is equipped with all the comforts that bigger cars led users to expect.

The new car's engines are lively performers but thrifty when it comes to fuel consumption, the manufacturers say.

Pride of place goes to the 70 bhp 1.3 16v Multijet engine. These power units are combined with innovative gearboxes such as the Dualogic.

UCIM Ltd said the new super-mini Panda car passed the toughest tests to ensure maximum protection of driver and passengers.

The 4x4 version and the offroader will be the next to follow it over the next few years.
