The ninth European Conference on Epilepsy and Society, with the theme 'Focusing on change', is being held in Malta between March 18-20.

This unique conference will allow direct interaction between lay organisations for people with epilepsy, health care professionals and neurologists involved in the treatment of these people.

The two-day conference is being held in conjunction with the 2004 National Epilepsy Conference of the Caritas Malta Epilepsy Association and the University of Malta's department of clinical pharmacology and therapeutics. Discussions will be held on how change can come about with regards to the management and treatment of epilepsy, sharing the experiences of people with epilepsy and highlighting developments in care.

The conference is being held at the Dolmen Hotel Resort in Bugibba. Registration forms may be downloaded from the Caritas Malta website.

Further information can be obtained by calling Godwin Cachia on tel. 2137 0381 or Janet Mifsud on tel. 2340 2845.
