An in-service training course for lecturers within the Faculty of Arts as part of the Diploma in Translation and Interpretation is being held between tomorrow and Friday. The week-long course is being sponsored by the British High Commission.

Two lecturers from the University of Westminster, Professor Robin Trew and Professor Eyvor Fogarty, have been invited to conduct the course. Its focus is on "Bilingual Translation and Technical and Specialised Translation".

The University of Malta's diploma course in Translation and Interpretation began last October. The one-week course is expected to be inaugurated by British High Commissioner Vincent Fean, and the Rector of the University of Malta, Professor Roger Ellul Micallef.
