Due to lack of time, and your space, I venture to tackle two of them, namely three and six.

Surely lack of water, so abundant in Sicily and the rest of Europe, is clearly the reason for our restricted fruit supply. The mental capacity of most of the motorists on our islands results in the equation "Drive on, the other one will stop" (and not just dashing out of side streets)!
