Bank of Valletta has started to install new software on all its Cashlink ATMs.

The BOV Cashlink ATM at the Strand, Sliema, is the first ATM to run on the new software platform. This software, which incorporates a completely new customer interface, has been designed by Bank of Valletta employees.

The bank said that one of the major advantages that the new software offers was the enhanced user friendliness of the interface which now also incorporates audio features. The audio element combines with a more sophisticated graphic interface to guide customers through the range of services that can be accessed through this service delivery channel.

Prior to the installation of the new software, the bank has undertaken an exercise that involved the upgrading of the Cashlink ATM hardware.

The bank said its ATMs attract more than half a million users every month.

It is envisaged that the bank will complete the upgrading of all its Cashlink ATMs to the new platform by the end of the current year.
