Fewer families receive children's allowance

The number of families in receipt of children's allowance dropped to 35,251 last year from 40,991 in the year 2000 and 51,184 in 1990. The information was given by Social Policy Minister Lawrence Gonzi in reply to a parliamentary question by Chris Agius (MLP).
