A man and woman were hospitalised yesterday after they were run over in two separate traffic accidents.

The first accident took place at 9.30 a.m. in Mrabat Street, St Julians, when a 32-year-old motorcyclist from Zurrieq, who was driving in the direction of Sliema, ran over a 57-year-old woman from St Julians.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital where she was found to be suffering from leg fractures.

At about noon, a 50-year-old Paola man was taken to hospital after he was run over while working on the airport apron.

The police said a truck driven by a 47-year-old man from Zurrieq was moving in the direction of Park 8 when it hit the worker who had just come out of his vehicle.
