A number of Nobel Prize winners were among the scientists who attended a recent conference held at the Hilton, in Malta.

Frontiers in Chemical Sciences: Research & Education in the Middle East promoted collaboration and sharing of information among scientists of different cultures.

Among those attending were the following Nobel Prize winners: Claude Cohen Tannoudji, who won a Nobel Prize in physics; Dudley R. Herschbach in chemistry; Ronald Hoffmann who developed rules for elucidating reaction mechanisms and Jean-Marie Lehn, Rudolph A. Marcus and Yuan T. Lee, all for chemistry.
