A 62-year-old Fgura man was yesterday charged with defiling an 11-year-old girl last week.

Nazzareno Abela pleaded not guilty to the violent indecent assault of the girl, holding her against her will and defilement on January 7.

Abela was denied bail.

Police Inspector Anthony Cassar prosecuted.

Dr Chris Soler appeared for the defendant.
