The parliamentary secretary within the Ministry for Social Policy, Francis Agius, is in Rome leading a delegation to meet Pope John Paul II, as part of a programme of activities for the year dedicated to disabled persons. During his meeting, Dr Agius will ask the Pope to convey his Apostolic blessing on persons with disabilities and their families.

Tomorrow, Dr Agius will leave Rome for Galway, Ireland to attend the first meeting of ministers under the new EU presidency.
