The new Land Rover Freelander was launched yesterday by Muscats Motors with the promise of changing the world of off-roading and comfort.
When the Freelander was originally launched in 1997, it became one of the best-selling sports utility vehicles in Europe and its makers are hoping the new model will rise to the challenge. The new Freelander has a more integrated design, aligned badging, some surprise interior features and new twin pocket clear lens head lamps, its manufacturers say.
The choice of engines include a 1.8 16 valve petrol, 2.0 Td4 diesel or 2.5 V6 petrol.
During the launch, Muscats Motors general manager Henry Scicluna spoke of the company's most recent acquisition - the Ducati motorcycles range.
