The General Workers Union has accused the Bank of Valletta management of breaching the collective agreement in the case of changes related to the employees' vacation leave.

The union said the bank has announced that staff will now have to take two weeks continuous leave instead of 10 days.

The union is insisting that the new measure breached the collective agreement and has instructed its members employed with the bank to ignore the new measure as announced by the bank.
