A Palestinian was arraigned in court yesterday evening and accused of stealing a car stereo from a car belonging to Raymond Grima of Valletta, which was in Ta' Xbiex seafront on Friday afternoon, while in the company of other unidentified persons.

Josef Ali Hamdani, 25, of no fixed abode in Malta, was also charged with causing between Lm10 and Lm50 damage to the car, a Fiat Uno, receiving stolen goods, and refusing to disclose his true identity, place of residence and other particulars to the police.

He pleaded not guilty.

Inspector Stephen Gatt prosecuted. Dr Cuschieri appeared for the accused.
