The Executive Chef at The Xara Palace Relais and Chateaux, Kevin Bonello, and his team (Adrian Bonello, Mark Briffa, Rodrick Micallef, Thomas Agius Ferrante and Antoine Micallef) were worthy recipients of a wide range of awards at the recently held Salon Culinaire de Malte competition at the New Dolmen Hotel, Qawra.
The Xara Palace Relais and Chateaux's competing team won a total of 22 medals.
The Master Chefs Grand Prix Gold Award was won for the second year in a row. A silver medal was achieved in the Senior Practical Team Class.
Kevin Bonello was also awarded gold for Best Senior Practical in Live Theatre.
