The Victoria Hotel has appointed Raymond Borg as its purchasing officer. In his new role, Mr Borg will be responsible for all the hotel's purchasing needs. He will also be the source of the best possible prices. Mr Borg's appointment will further strengthen the hotel's strong management team.

The Victoria Hotel's acting general manager, Claire Xuereb, said: "The appointment of Mr Borg as purchasing officer will help harmonise the hotel's purchasing procedures, as well as offer a more efficient service to all suppliers."

Mr Borg has over 16 years experience in different purchasing procedures. He joined the AX Holding Group in May 1987 as a storekeeper at the Sol Suncrest Hotel. He furthered his career in the hotel industry.

In December 1988 he was promoted to head storekeeper at the Sol Suncrest Hotel and in 1996 he joined the hotel's purchasing office. In 2003, he joined The Victoria Hotel in the post of purchasing officer.
