Everybody knows that Maltacom is encouraging anonymous telephone calls by suggesting to subscribers to eliminate their numbers from the directory.

May I remind Maltacom that the Data Protection Act has nothing to do with hiding one's identity. First they made us pay Lm1.15 a month to trace anonymous callers, then they sold us ID callers at Lm12 each and later told all of Malta how to hide one's number by publicising the famous *31#. One had to pay Lm10 for X-directory numbers. Now it is free!

Now we are back to square one. One has to pay Lm1.15 monthly so that the police may trace anonymous callers, often without success. Thank you Maltacom.
