President visits l-Istrina tent

President Guido de Marco yesterday visited the tent being erected to host the 12-hour charity programme l-Istrina on December 27, being organised by Where's Everybody? and to be broadcast on TVM, Net TV and Super 1 TV.

The tent is located in the parking area of Public Broadcasting Services, in Guardamangia.

Fifteen charitable organisations will benefit from this year's marathon fund-raiser, which is entering its 12th edition and will involve the participation of 5,000 people. This year's ambitious target is to raise Lm1 million.

Prof. de Marco congratulated Where's Everybody? for their courage and said they were a company that could get things done.

He thanked PBS and all involved in the event, which he described as a beautiful experience for all.

"I admire the way you resist time," he told the organisers.
