Labour boycotts state parties
The Labour parliamentary group and the Labour Party administration are boycotting all parties organised by the government for MPs and others, in solidarity with those employees in the public sector whose seasonal parties were cancelled as part of the government austerity drive.
A party for MPs was held at the Palace yesterday after parliament rose for the Christmas holidays.
