Do you want to acquire knowledge and skills in training and human resource management?

Then why not follow a certificate programme with the Centre for Labour Market Studies of the University of Leicester? In less than a year you will gain a sound theoretical basis and recognition for the skills you use at work, by relating your experience to key academic issues.

Certificate courses provide an introduction to those who wish to pursue a career in either training or human resource management but have little or no knowledge of the subject. They are also targeted at those with a professional or academic qualification in another field of study who wish to gain knowledge about human resource management and development through an internationally recognised university.

Two certificate courses are currently available:

¤ Certificate in Training Practice, which examines the training cycle and the fundamentals of training policy and delivery; and

¤ Certificate in Training Practice & HRM, which examines the human resource management function, its relation to organisational change and the fundamentals of training delivery.

Both certificate courses are followed by distance learning and are assignment based. A personal tutor is allocated to each student for the entire duration of the course. Certificate programmes are due to start on March 1, 2004.
