A magistrate has ruled for the indictment of a teenager charged with breaking into his neighbour's house and stealing over Lm1,000 worth of items, including jewellery.

Magistrate Giovanni Grixti ruled for the indictment of the teenager, 17 years old of San Gwann, whose name is not being published because he is a minor.

The teenager is pleading not guilty to breaking into an apartment situated in the same block where he lives on November 27 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Police Inspector Martin Sammut is prosecuting.
