Raymond Zammit, 37, of Senglea but residing in Birkirkara was arraigned in court yesterday and accused of attempting to kill two men in an incident in Birkirkara late on Friday.

The incident happened at Anglu Mallia Street when Zammit allegedly brandished a pointed instrument during an argument with Herman Zammit and his son Stephen over where he could park his car. The former suffered facial injuries.

The accused was refused bail.

The court was presided by Magistrate Consuelo Scerri-Herrera.

Police Inspector Kevin J. Farrugia prosecuted. Dr Ian Farrugia assisted the accused, while Dr Franco Debono appeared in parte civile for the victims.
