It is worth noting that MPs raise parliamentary questions regarding private school fees. This is good.

However, I never came across a parliamentary question on the following:

1. The annual cost per student in state primary and in state secondary schools.
2. The number of students attending state primary/state secondary.
3. The number of teachers employed in the state primary/secondary.
4. The annual cost of salaries of teachers in state primary/secondary.
5. The annual gross expense of a state primary school/state secondary school.
6. The number of students in Church schools - primary/secondary.
7. The number of teachers employed in Church schools for primary/secondary.
8. State subsidy to Church schools in primary/secondary sectors.

These figures should be given yearly so that the public can evaluate the financial management and student statistics of state and Church schools besides those of private independent schools.
