Obituary
BONACI. On December 5, at St Vincent de Paul residence, FRANK, aged 81, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his daughter Catherine and her husband Stan Ganshow, his son Andrew and his wife Cindy residing in America, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his sister Antoinette Bossart, brother-in-law George Ellul Castaldi, widower of Magda, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
Mass praesente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 9 a.m. at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel, followed by interment in the family vault.
BONELLO. On December 5, at St Luke's Hospital, CARMEN née Schiavone of Senglea, aged 71, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Joseph, her children Pierre and his wife Magda, Anna and her husband Mario, Joe, Renzo and his wife Loraine, Rita and her husband Mario, Lydia and her husband Michael, Paul and his wife Anita, Frankie and his wife Romina, her sisters Cecilia, Maria, and Emily, Fr Noè, OSA, Sister Clotilde and Sister Vitorina, Augustinian Sisters, her nephews, relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2 p.m. for Our Lady of Victories Basilica, Senglea, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated.

Live band marathon
A live band marathon is being held at the Whisky Blue Bar, in Bugibba tomorrow from 1 p.m. to midnight.
Bands and entertainers such as Crosswalk, Scream Daisy, Boys next Door, Ozzy Lino, Ira Losco and others will entertain those present.
All proceeds will be donated to the Eden Foundation and the Daniel Delicata Memorial Association.

National piano competition
The European Piano Teachers' Association (Malta) is holding its eighth annual national piano competition this weekend at St James Cavalier, Valletta.
The preliminary rounds will be held today and competitors who go through to the final round will be playing on Monday.
Prizes include master classes at the prestigious Liszt Academy in Budapest, Hungary (flight and accommodation also included).
An international adjudicating panel will be made up of three judges - composer Charles Camilleri, Hungarian Balazs Szokolay, professor at the Liszt Academy and pianist of international fame, and Croatian top piano pedagogue Jaksa Zlatar, secretary of EPTA (Croatia).
The public is invited to attend both the preliminary and final rounds.
Tickets at Lm2 are available from St James Cavalier box office.
The preliminary rounds will take place from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 4.30 to 7.30 p.m.
A prize giving ceremony will be held at 7.30 p.m. following the final round on Monday.
Table tennis marathon
A table tennis marathon organised by the Zabbar Catholic Action Youths (ZAK) started at 10 p.m. yesterday, to raise money for the Malta Hospice Movement.
A total of 15 teams with five players each will be playing at the Notre Dame Hall in Zabbar for 68 hours, until Monday at 6 p.m.
The marathon was preceded by a rock Mass, at 8.30 p.m. followed by an entertaining showcase including singing, dancing, and comedy.
Maltacom is sponsoring the marathon.
