Access to games via mobile phones

Vodafone Malta Limited launched Vodafone live! enabling customers to access a range of easy to use services including games, ringtones, picture messaging, e-mail and a wide range of world leading branded infotainment, all accessed through an icon based, colour menu on integrated camera phones.

Vodafone live! customers can download games and ring tones, take and send picture messages, and access entertainment and exclusive content from the world's leading entertainment brands including UEFA Champions League, Tomb Raider, The Simpsons and Ferrari, all through their branded Vodafone live! handsets.

"The launch of Vodafone live! reinforces Vodafone Malta's position as the leading mobile operator in Malta. Vodafone live! is the only mobile phone service that offers users access to top branded games, local and international news, unified messaging, local and international weather information, exclusive UEFA and Ferrari updates, ringtones, travelling information as well as picture messaging," Joseph C. Grioli, chief executive officer at Vodafone Malta, said.

"With the launch of this new range of services, Vodafone is changing the face of mobile telecommunications in Malta by making mobile data accessible to a wider audience than traditional users of mobile data products," he added.

He said that in the coming months Vodafone live! will continue to deliver an increasing range of mobile services to Vodafone customers.

As a special offer to mark the launch, Vodafone said that picture messaging will be free during December, as will be the network charges. Other content will also be free during December.
